The Lloyd-North School of Dance was established in February 1989 and has been successfully teaching children and adults to dance and keep-fit ever since. Our classes are taught at the Kempshott Methodist Church Halls here in Basingstoke.
We teach the R.A.D Ballet syllabus and the I.D.T.A syllabus for Tap and Modern Jazz for Boys and Girls.
Students have the chance to perform on stage in our shows and can also take examinations and medals in the R.A.D and I.D.T.A examining boards. Ballet and Tap classes are available from 2 1/2 years old, in our ‘Baby Ballet & Tiny Tappers’ classes. Modern Jazz classes are available from 5 years.
However, we also welcome those students who wish to just enjoy dance and keep fit whilst doing it!
Dance lessons are a great way to get children exercising and enjoying music and movement, as well as improving co-ordination, muscle tone, flexibility and rhythm!
For the serious dance student we offer lessons up to and including the vocational examination levels in all the above genres. Many of our past students have gone on to study dance professionally and have also become professional dancers still working today!
For adults we offer a gentle keep -fit lesson for ladies which includes gentle stretching, limbering and relaxation exercises, to improve circulation, flexibility and co-ordination.
All teachers are DRB checked.

WE SELL OUR OWN DANCEWEAR!
We sell the dance uniform to all our students at the school so no need to go into town. We can get hold of leotards, Ballet shoes, tap shoes, jazz shoes, character shoes, tights, socks, skirts and much more.
